literacy/technology autobiography

I first learned use the computer when i was 5 probably. Just played games on it then didn't really get into learning other programs till around age 10. Even then it was only the basic word processors and email. At 14 I learned most of what I know now, becoming a decent computer user. I've never really blogged that much mainly because I didn't care to. I figured that the internet had enough people that like to talk about themselves and it didn't need one more. My wife started one recently though and I've posted there a few times.
Honestly i don't even know what constitutes as "supplementary online support" so i don't know if i can answer that question accurately. If it means: when I come across material that is unknown to me and I go and look it up on ,say, Google or forums how to better understand that area, then yes there are advantages of being able to look up unknowns on the internet. I don't see any disadvantages though.

  1. Hey Paul, here's the web address you wanted:

www.tarvalon.net <- the main site, they're upgrading it so not all the connectivity is up yet
www.tarvalonforums.net <- the forums, where we have most of our interaction
